A ★★★½ review of Resident Evil (2026)
Visually strong, with a main character as chatty as any video game protagonist. There was probably a better ratio of scary:silly that would have satisfied me more, but I do admire that the movie commits to so many video game clichés, not out of fanservice to any specific game but out of sincere interest in them as narrative devices.
