Just had this video pop up as a reminder of "on this day". I love how wholesome it is, Swizzels as a kit, very over excited, helping Suzanne cut up ferret treats. We buy these knotted Chicken & Duck chews from B&M, un-knot them, then cut them into small bits for the ferrets, who love them.

We are lucky that most of our ferrets are bombproof. We can let anyone hold them & know they wouldn't bite. You can't believe just how many people will put a ferret straight up to their face, or jab their fingers round the ferrets face while asking if they bite! We also have Nala!!

Every so often Waffle demands a cuddle & woe betide anyone who might interrupt it...

Waffle an EU Polecat is curled up on one of Suzanne's hands with Suzanne's other hand gently resting on top of her.

Waffle is now staring directly at the camera, which had disturbed her cuddle with the first flash, & now the flash has made her eyes glow white, & she looks very cross.

We were at the Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre this weekend, & as normal we took our ferrets with us, & took a couple out for a walk each time we ventured out. We popped onto one of the trade stands while walking Crunch & the man running it was instantly in love with her, & needed a cuddle.

Crunch is very free with her kisses, this is Suz getting kisses, whether she needs them or not, to be fair when does anyone not need ferret kisses.

On this day in 2011, we were at a ferret show run by our local rescue. A young girl turned up with a tiny carrier, she wouldn't open, as the ferret inside bites. Long story, short, we took out a 12week old kit who was just so over excited to have some interaction, she was a little bit mouthy...

It's taken me a while to type this, so please forgive me Rhubarb. Rhubarb, was born on the 08/06/22 & we got him & his brother on the 03/08/22. He passed away from Lymphoma on the 09/11/26. Too soon!

He was a lovely albino boy, who was very in tune with us, he managed to make us laugh for all of his life, until I can't help but shed some tears. I miss him in so many little ways, but I know they would rather we were nuts and happy than sad. Have fun until we'll all be together at Rainbow Bridge.

Rhubarb was a peacekeeper, if squabbles went on too long he would put himself between them. He had a fetish for tennis balls, preferably yellow ones, where he would move them about, and if the others felt like messing with him, they would move one about or he would hear it fall from somewhere..

change the bedding. He was very much a "mummies boy" I played up to it, I didn't need to really I love him dearly. Most photo's are where you'll find him and his brother Custard together, and I like to think that Custard came for him as they just couldn't be apart, shining stars that burnt bright.

Rhubarb is/was a complete part of life, from his kisses in the morning, he loved his morning fuss, and would sulk if we were in a hurry. Or it could be night time, he's had his fill and his tummy is full and curled up in our bed making me smile when I pull the duvet cover back, or he would help me
