I am genuinely astonished at the rapidity with which incremental deduction has gone from "an idea Lucas Pope made a really good game with" to "an idea that's been explored somewhat" to "full blown genre" to "kind of *the* genre interesting work is being done in"

oh no Instagram stopped advertising dog food (no pets) and $500 sweaters (I like paying rent) at me and now are showing me books of 1920s Japanese graphic design I thought I was good at resisting targeted advertising but I guess it was just that the targets were off

If you're working within a pattern library, you can go from idea to pencil sketch to demo prototype in the same afternoon. I won't outsource component behavior or IA to it, but I do ask it to audit for accessibility/best practice violations before I share work with the team (I made it a checklist).

Needs some beeswax to do that. Where'd I leave that beeswax...? I can't. I need to get the beeswax. Everyone's waiting on that beeswax. Beeswax... come on, Oddy, think! Know I saw some beeswax somewhere... Surely I can find some beeswax. Need to find the beeswax first.

I like that Charlotte Brontë was basically telling a soapy saga about how the world is a hard and complicated place and sometimes Shit Happens, and Jane Austen is just like, “I’ve met the worst and simultaneously most boring people you can imagine. Hunker down, let me tell you all about them.”

Okay so Jane Austen is making me retroactively like a bunch of these characters I originally found annoying by simply surrounding them with actual demons. Well done.

ok I read the interview in full and notably he does not say that *no* minions worked for Hitler, just that the ones viewers have met so far did not. there is the opportunity to shut this down more explicitly and he does not take it. this is actually the funniest possible way to answer the question

A vicious cycle of four steps surrounding a black cat with a thousand-yard stare and a dapper little tie. The four endlessly cycling steps read:

-going forward we're gonna need more of your data to make sure it's you

-ahaha youre not gonna believe this but we had a bit of a data breach

-your data is probably for sale online now

-that means someone could easily impersonate you
