Saw a prominent tech reporter have a mea culpa and say he's going back to posting on X as it's where the tech conversations are, so I opened it up to see what I was missing and was immediately presented with an AI video of Hanson making out with a prominent right wing blogger. I'll be alright.

Turns out we don’t have to invoke weapons of mass destruction when talking about ocean heat uptake. The ocean absorbed a record-breaking 23 zettajoules of heat last year, equivalent to 40 times the energy used by humanity. It’s not going to end well.

My latest cartoon for @newscientist.com
A figure stands in a barren landscape; reaches for the lever on a large, eccentric contraption covered in wires, pipes, dials and buttons; looks over towards two figures inside a bunker and says:

"'Trust me, it's safe' would sound a lot more reassuring if you weren't saying it from inside a concrete bunker."

A cartoon depicting a wolf speaking to a group of sheep. The wolf is questioning why the sheep aren't scared of it, while the sheep make humorous replies about herd immunity and the myth that only old or sick animals are at risk.

“Only old and sick are attacked by a wolf.”

“A healthy well-trained body survives a wolf-bite.”

“We rely on herd immunity.”

“There are no wolves.”
