#WIPWednesday for Ch 7 of Several Inches Deep, in which everyone else arrives at the resort. #OFMDfic

Stede’s smile became less bright, but he was clearly fighting to stay positive. “Mary. I meant to tell you about it yesterday and then got derailed by the other thing. My family is here for a post-Christmas winter break. Mary, Doug, and the kids. And Mary’s friend Evelyn and her service Maine coon, Ned. The whole crowd, really.”

“Oh.”

“I didn’t tell you initially because I wasn’t sure it would matter, and your people are arriving today too, aren’t they?”

“Are they?” Ed was kind of doubtful. He may have given up looking at his phone because he’d been occupied in the best way for the last several days, but several was the key thing here. His vacation was only meant to be three days, and that time was apparently already gone. “Fuck,” he groaned, and then giving into the need to be dramatic about it, he flopped backward onto Stede’s pillows and pulled the wonderfully soft blanket over his head.

Stede sat down on the bed next to him and leaned in. “I can tell them you’re sick.”

“We have a really shitty culture of presenteeism. I’d still need to give my talk.”

“Lost snowshoeing, but we have a search party out.”

“Kidnapped by Mothman,” Ed suggested. “Nah, Izzy would never believe it.”

“You could say you need more time.” Stede offered the suggestion with a tentativeness that made him sound like he was worried about overstepping.

Long story short: I’m an asylum seeker in France now. I don’t know how long this process will take, but for I still can’t officially work here. So I’m looking for any opportunity to earn money to be able to pay for rent and food. Please, read and share this post ❤️‍🩹 ko-fi.com/illustory

WE NEED HELP
Please, read and share this!
(text version of the pics above)
We are a group of queer artists, and we are in big trouble.
In April 2025, we immigrated to France, seeking a safe place to live and make art.
Our humanitarian visas expired a year ago.
Since then, we have been trying to get legal status in France.
To be able to work, open a bank account, get health insurance and just have some basic human rights.
We spent a whole year fighting for our lives against Strasbourg Prefecture and we lost.

All this time we couldn't properly work, so we were burning our savings.
In August, all three of us were denied a residence permit.
According to the Prefecture, the only option for us To stay legally in France is to become asylum seekers.
About a week ago, we sent out our applications for the asylum.
Now we are looking at another indefinite stretch of time, before we are summoned to Paris for interviews.
It might be two months, three months, half of a year or even more... no one knows for sure.

We had planned for a year without documents max, and now it's been a year and a half already.
No matter how hard we tried to stretch our savings, they have run out.
Currently, we don't have enough money to pay for rent and food in November.
It's hard for me to admit that, but we are in huge trouble, with all our hopes and plans ruined by the French bureaucracy.
We really need your help and every little bit matters, so I came up with some options for how you can support us.

My last #EdsSensualSeptember post clearly has an identitycrisis with impending Kinktober... And I have decicioncrisis with choosing between surreal colors and b&w, so you're going to have to suffer both. Prompts: Mirrors̶, s̶p̶a̶r̶k̶l̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶h̶i̶n̶y̶ @edsensualseptember.bsky.social #ofmdfanart #ofmdnsfw

Digital painting of Ed from Our Flag Means Death, shown from shoulders up. His face is pressed up against a mirror by a hand in his hair, coming from outside the frame. He seems to be quite enjoying his compromised position. His eyes are closed and mouth open in a moan. Breath is fogging up the mirror, and Ed's hand is swiping fingerprints onto the surface. Colouring in surreal blues and purples, with black background

Same picture but in black and white with slight chromatic aberration on edges

#WIPWednesday for Ch 6 of Several Inches Deep, in which Ed ponders his time with Stede while getting ready in his cabin. #OFMDfic

Ed could have demanded they dig out his cabin yesterday, or that Stede take him back the way he’d brought him in the first place, though Ed wasn’t too keen to go back into the tunnel if he didn’t have to. Instead, Ed had put on a seductive smile, stayed with Stede another night, and for some reason, fucked him again. The reason was that it felt good. He liked it, and he was having a good time with one of his favorite dicks.

Mirror Ed rolled his eyes at him. Yeah, he was sort of fond of Stede too, liked him more the more time they spent together, but it didn’t change the past. He knew, when push came to shove, who Stede Bonnet was. Or had known. Real question there, if people could change. Hard as fuck if it happened. Now that he was pondering it, he could see that he hadn’t heard all of it from Stede, those fifteen years of marriage. How bad had they been? Maybe Stede had new scars he wasn’t showing either.

“Do it or don’t,” he said aloud. That’s all it came down to.

💜 Purple + Mythical + Pearls 💜 Illustration 2 of Week 3 of #EdsSensualSeptember! This one has been a wip for years but finally had the oomph to finish him 😘💜 #TheVillainsArt #OurFlagMeansDeath #OFMD #OFMDfanart #SensualEdvents

Digital illustration of Ed Teach from Our Flag Means Death as a mythical and sensual fawn. He is seated under a willow tree full of flowing lavender leave tendrils which create a curtain around him. He is leaning back with his thick thighs and muscular goat legs stretched out in front of him, one knee slightly raised. He is nude and holding a lute across his lap which he is plucking at gently. He has two looped ram’s horns amongst his flowing silver hair and two braids from his temples. He has a loop of pearls across on hip and a few gold necklaces across his chest. His human thighs transition to goat fur right above the knee, and the fur is grey and tufted, ending in two large golden hooves. He has several colourful beaded bracelets and gold anklets looped around his ankles. He is looking upwards towards the viewer with a curious expression and one eyebrow raised. The whole image is painted in primarily purples, giving it an ethereal dusk glow. Ed’s skin is glowing in the centre of the frame, lit by the number of glowing fireflies amongst the willow tree leaves. He has a dusky pink blush across his chest and a serene smile on his face.

Blue toned painting of siren or nymphlike creature submerged in water up to his chest, surrounded by lotus leaves and flowers. He somewhat resembles Edward Teach from OFMD.

Wet hair is clinging to his face and a rather large pearl necklace is spilling down his chest

💙 Blue + Siren + Pearls 💙 Week 3 for #EdsSensualSeptember! This one's for the fellow monster-fuckers out there 😋 #TheVillainsArt #OFMD #OurFlagMeansDeath #OFMDfanart #SensualSeptember #EdTeach #Mermaid

Digital illustration of Ed Teach from Our Flag Means Death as a nasty little mermaid. He’s some kind of mermaid/blue shark hybrid with long ragged silver and black hair covering over his shoulders and face. He is staring into the viewer with something between lust and hunger, with his tongue licking his very sharp teeth. His tongue and skin is tinged blue, with glowing yellow and blue eyes. His tattoos are glowing cyan over his skin and his has pointed ears and spinal fins (also glowing cyan blue). He has a rope of pearls looped around his midsection and a big ass of a mermaid’s tail with more glowing fins and shimmering scales. He is posed pushing himself upright onto his hands, which are caked in blood and webbed, with long vicious fingernails. The blood is also smeared across the bottom of his face and down his chest. The silver in his hair is also glowing cyan blue. There is a colourful oil slink glow behind him and an ominous looming grey blue background. I don’t know what to tell you, I hear siren and thought monster-fucker.

Close up of Siren Ed's face from previous illustration, showing off his glowing yellow eyes and cyan glowing tattoos and hair, and a lot of messy blood.

#WIPWednesday for Ch 5 of Several Inches Deep, in which Ed has an enlightening conversation. #OFMDfic

“You know, I’m a pretty good listener,” Lucius said from next to him.

Ed didn’t shift to look at him. “That’s really cool, bro. Must make you popular at parties.”

“You have no idea,” Lucius practically purred. “Well, if you don’t want to talk I will. How long have you known Fang?”

“What?”

“He seems like a sweetheart, and he’s joining you in a couple of days. I find a little extra info gathering beforehand can be a big help. Would you say he has an interest in art?”

Ed recalled the art he’d found Lucius working on yesterday and thought that Fang would likely find it charming. Fang has always had a warm, cheerful sort of humor that Ed wished he got to witness more often, if Blackbeard weren’t so tied up in being a dick all the time. “Yeah, he probably does. Wait, is that something you all do?”

“Seduce our guests? When we can! It makes everyone’s week a little more fun.”

“S’not very professional.”

“Mmm, rules are for suckers.” Lucius took a bite of a carrot stick and smirked.
