Cathedral Cave, Little Langdale in the English Lake District. #photography #landscape #cathedralcave #littlelangdale #lakedistrict #lakedistrictnationalpark
Cathedral Cave was created by the slate mining activities in Little Langdale. The pillar stretches 40 ft to hold the roof in place. The blue dressed hiker gives scale to the cave.

Ashness Bridge is a packhorse bridge built in the 18th century. It crosses Barrow Beck on the road between Keswick and the village of Watendlath. In the background are Derwent Water and Skiddaw.

#BlueSkyArtShow #3rdPlace A beautiful autumn day at Derwent Water, Keswick, Cumbria in the English Lake District. A place where we regularly walk the terriers 🐾 #keswick #lakedistrict #cumbria #lakes #mountains #nature #autumn #photography #eastcoastkin
A landscape view of Derwent Water, Keswick, Cumbria, England on a sunny September afternoon.
The lake is calm, steel grey in colour, but in places it reflects the blue sky and white fluffy clouds.
In the foreground are two thin trees on the left, their leaves beginning the autumnal change from green to brown.
A wooden gate and wire fence are in the shallows of the lake due to high water. The wooden fence posts run further into the distance.
In the background is the outline of some of the North Western Fells including Catbells and Causey Pike.
The colours of the trees and fells also just starting to change from green to autumnal hues of brown.

Looking towards Haystacks at one end of Buttermere in the Lake District. The rust coloured bracken on the fells is glowing in the autumn sun and reflected on the lake. A beautiful line of trees runs across this end of the lake. #LakeDistrict #Autumn #Fall #Reflections #MountainMonday #Photography
Buttermere is an absolutely beautiful lake and on this day one autumn was looking amazing in the light.
In the foreground are golden grass and evergreen shrubs. On the lake is a reflection of the fells and the line of trees. At this end the fells loom over the lake.

Blea Tarn with the sun shining on the Langdales. #LakeDistrict #Scape #Landscape #Autumn #Fall #Photography
Blea tall surrounded by the fells in the Lake District many in the shade and covered with bracken .
I have posted photos of the tarn before but thought I would mention that it is at an elevation of 712 feet. It is a tarn you can reach by a steep narrow road.
The Langdale pikes in my photo are illuminated by the sun.

Taken from the summit of Seat How.
The scene looks across to the lake Derwent Water, and the town of Keswick (on the left) in the valley below.
Mountains surround the view. From left to right, these are some of the Central, Western and North Western Fells
The sky is blue with a line of white clouds above the summit of the fells.

The diminutive Kelly Hall Tarn in the Lake District on a magical evening a few years ago. You can tell it's a few years ago as the tree furthest to the right on the far bank was lost during Storm Arwen #Nikon #landscape #photography #photographyuk #LakeDistrict #KellyHallTarn #Lakeland #Coniston
A small tarn reflecting a wonderfully pink and red sunset. There are four trees on the far bank with the spruce on the left separated from the other 3. In the distance is Coniston Old Man and a range of lower gently sloping mountains.

A woodland scene with the view of a small waterfall cascading over smooth rocks on the River Caldew, Caldbeck, Cumbria, England on a sunny September day.
It is a shot taken with a long exposure.
The view is framed by lush verdant trees on both sides of the river.
There are moss-covered stones on the river bank, and particularly vibrant on the dark rocky ledges in the left foreground.
The water flows over smooth rocks and dark rock ledges, creating small cascades.
In the background there are glimpses of light filtering through the green leaves.
