There are hundreds of people waiting and watching for that 30 mins time slot. When you look at it, depending on the length of his answers, only 10-15 get answered. Some are repeat questions, but there’s always engagement by the community. You’re not being slighted. It’s just a numbers game.

In her CNN article (undated), Heather Poole of American Airlines explains some of the reasons behind the decline in passenger meals and amenities onboard as a result of fallout from the September 11 attacks on airlines. Public fear gave way to a decline in revenue, resulting in low cost tickets that could not support operations that passengers had been previously accustomed to receiving. That, in turn, saved fuel once meals, magazines, pillow, blankets, and eventually, staff were removed. Realizing these savings, legacy carriers chose to not bring back most items as passengers grew accustomed to lower fares and proved themselves unwilling to pay more.
