I just went through this red tape for my 96 yr-old mother, because she received an $8.23/mo pension increase. Medicaid stopped paying for PT after breaking both her legs in a fall, yet harasses us over monthly premiums at the “rehab” facility that won’t recommend a discharge. FDT. Vote blue!

In her CNN article (undated), Heather Poole of American Airlines explains some of the reasons behind the decline in passenger meals and amenities onboard as a result of fallout from the September 11 attacks on airlines. Public fear gave way to a decline in revenue, resulting in low cost tickets that could not support operations that passengers had been previously accustomed to receiving. That, in turn, saved fuel once meals, magazines, pillow, blankets, and eventually, staff were removed. Realizing these savings, legacy carriers chose to not bring back most items as passengers grew accustomed to lower fares and proved themselves unwilling to pay more.

The last time I saw Amy Sweeney was at the pub in London. Happy to see her and catch up, I wondered why we hadn’t seen her in a while and learned she’d transferred to BOS. I’ll never forget how contented she looked. Family life was great for Amy. Bless her soul. She was a good one. 🤍 Never forget.

An old roommate once told me to “Get over it. That happened years ago.” Mortified, I will never get that image out of my head, watching live as the second plane hit the tower. The whole day was a nightmare, unimaginable for the people who were there and those who perished. Never forget 9/11. 🕯️

🌱 #insectThursday I had such a wonderful time at Wisley with special friends yesterday. They allowed me to drag them all over the Garden (almost 10 000 steps) and show them special bits. We spotted this Tigridia in the Exotic Garden and then realised it had a critter nestled on one of the petals.
