I was on my boat late last night & thought I heard a scrabbling noise coming from outside. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye & looked up to see a fox had come through my open boat hatch & was climbing into my bed!

I’m truly grateful I got to present my research on feel-good literature, ME/CFS recovery discourses, and neoliberalism for the Gloucestershire Philosophical Society yesterday. Great questions kept flowing at the pub and even into my inbox. A powerful (and needed) reminder that my research matters!

2 of 3 reviewers on my interpretive qualitative paper want intercoder reliability tests, random sample to prevent selection bias, tables w/counts, comparison to those not interviewed, & generalizability. If you are NOT qualified to review qualitative research, please say no to the journal's request.

Had a lovely time giving the keynote at #QRS2025! In it, I shared 3 big hot-takes: 1. Open science is not new (see: the work of feminist scholars for decades) 2. It is not open to all (see: bropen science) 3. Open science could be transformative for qualitative research
