It’s important to put a ‘use of AI’ statement on our modules. Here’s mine:

The point of doing a stylistics analysis and essay is the process of learning how to be a stylistician. We will be supporting your ideas throughout the module as you develop your thinking. Your analysis is highly likely to be a unique application of a linguistic pattern in a literary text, so the large-language collator that is 'AI' will almost certainly produce a very mediocre piece of slop and drivel, for which you will get a terrible grade. You are better than that; have some self-respect. In short, don't be a loser: no 'AI'.

Saw Dolly at Sheffield arena many years ago. Half the audience there in pink stetsons for the 9-5 music, half for the country gospel. By the end, she’d switched everybody. And her reading foundation gave books to thousands of Yorkshire kids. A genuine legend. RIP
