This is the real challenge. you need strong leadership, and to accept that simplification and consistency do mean some missed opportunities. But people, particularly in HE, consistently over-emphasise the institutional (and financial) benefit of jumping on every opportunity. Unis are full of FOMO

Getting increasingly tired of public servants telling us to be greatful The GP surgery that bought out our village GP just permanently closed the village surgery. We're told not to complain because at least we get a GP. Theres no bus service to the village, but we can pay £40 for medical care.
