Third run in Thousand Hells, first win. Well, I'd add an asterisk to that, we didn't quite achieve the objective, a dog complicated matters - IYKYK - but the game counts it as a win. One of the party didn't make it out, but it was her choice. Still, it added some weight to the adventure.

Oh, that supersoldier? At one point there was another, about half as powerful, and I managed to kill him. So I kept shooting the other Hulk for the remainder of the mission, hoping to bring him down. He was still standing when the mission was done.

Even at the harder difficulty it's, well, hard to lose a guy - hasn't happened to me yet, other than poor 'Tutorial' Aurelio - but I've been really worried a lot. And that tension is enough. (Even though so far I've only had one character get a second wound; again, other than poor Aurelio the Tut.)

Zero Company yesterday. I did the thing they warn you about, didn't pay enough attention to Resonance and accidentally created a Coil supersoldier. Objective done, half of the team is at the evac point, and at that moment the supersoldier does some kind of area attack that downs the other half.

Finished the run. Found out a lot. It was an experience. Rental Fine was not fine. In fact, he didn't leave hell. He died. And when your character dies in Thousand Hells, that's an automatic TPK for the rest of the crew. Oopsie.

Just started my second playthrough and I'm weirdly proud of the name I came up with for my character. Rental Fine. I like how it sounds. Anyway, Rental is a smart cookie and there's no lie he can't sell, but he doesn't kill. No problem. We're only supposed to steal a priceless artifact.

My first playthrough of Thousand Hells ended in disaster. Basically, not-Orpheus hired me to break not-Euridice out, but one of my party died, another was imprisoned in hell, and I didn't even see the target. (I made it out, though, thanks for asking.)

I'm slowly rereading the whole of Discworld, about 2 to 3 books a year - it's a long-term project. However, as I started on Interesting Times, I realised that if I sped up and read one Discworld book a month, I'd hit Hogfather in December. It's tempting.

The Quiet Year is fantastic on its own, but with a little hacking (writing your own prompts) it can be a great tool to zoom out from an ongoing campaign - we've done it twice on Sesje na podsłuchu (and once recorded the vanilla version).
