Bluesky EU - or anywhere. I need a new job. As soon as possible. I've worked in customer service my whole life, but appears that my current company is prepping to kick me out. Anyone heard of any jobs where one can at least temporarily hook - I'd be grateful. #Szukampracy #lookingforjobs #pracaPL

I mean I saw that the reconciliation between them was the aim, but because they're getting closer to TOS timeline, I was afraid they might off someone at one point or make some irreversible changes so was scared. Good writing.

It's just registered that I've been doing voice acting - especially for #LaraCroft #TombRaider - for 20 years(!) I'm so grateful to be part of such a passionate and creative community. Love you all, folks 🤗🫂♥️ #VoiceActing www.jrmilward.com/voice-acting...

A screenshot from the website jrmilward.com, with text that reads: "Voice Acting Projects A filmography of unofficial and fanmade projects featuring my voice acting, and a quote that reads: “Since Tomb Raider fans obviously have no way of getting Keeley Hawes to voice Lara in their fanmade works, they use Tomb Raider Forums mod Greenkey2 (Jenni Milward) who sounds very similar to both Keeley and a previous voice actress, Judith Gibbins."

I intend to start something of a tutorial Q&A stream overviewing basics of use and setting up #TombEngine editor so people can learn about the very basics and customisation options for each level. Aimed at beginners to the engine who only just start their #trle journey. Will we have takers?

We'll be the judge of whether you've reached "art" level of things or whether it's same old, same old with recycled mechanics with rope pulls, automated crouching and player agency literally stripped off to a singular button push or mash at best. TR was at its best with figuring stuff out.

Why tho? It's a pretty good console. I've had one since 2022 and I have not regretted it. Backwards compatibility with older X360 games, pretty cool graphics. I would not be ashamed saying I have one.

Kris Nephilim @krisnephilim.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

I would treat this as an upgrade. Honestly, this was always a weakness looking back.

Yeah, cool. Now delete the Society of Raiders concept from the franchise or remove the great-great-great grand-dad ancestor-founder OR change it to Great Aunt or great-great-great grandmother. Female characters are always more inspiring. C'mon. I dare 'ya.

Kris Nephilim @krisnephilim.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

The higher ups are the problem, wholeheartedly agree. They make the calls what goes and what doesn't and that is my biggest grievance. They think they are the visionaries who know better. If for once they weren't meddling... Perhaps we'd get a good Tomb Raider.

120

Kris Nephilim @krisnephilim.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

Nah, I'm convinced they genuinely think it's cool and just roll with it. They've always acted like they knew better and core fan whining will not change their minds. It's pure hubris, nothing else.

140

Kris Nephilim @krisnephilim.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

That's the problem: American studios more often than not think slapping some family drama into a product elevates it and gives it complexity. Not a single mainline TR game managed to be free of at least mentioning Lara's relatives in some capacity. Crystal just can't do anything else.

130

Kris Nephilim @krisnephilim.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

It's Americans. They only know how to have parent issues. It doesn't compute to them that people can flip on the society/family expectation like Lara did. I guess. I dunno. It seems like a pattern.
