Happy Nowruz 🌸 In this scene, Bārbad the Bard sings from the tree to King Khusraw Parvīz II and Queen Shīrīn in the royal garden at Nawrūz. Explore on Digital Bodleian: digital.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/objects/7…
A detailed illustration from a manuscript. The image depicts a gathering of eight individuals in colorful, ornate clothing. They are focused around a central figure on a platform with a richly patterned carpet. One person is pouring a beverage for the main figure. The background features trees with blossoming flowers and a vivid sky. The scene is framed by columns of elegant script in Persian.

It's fantastic that living writers affected by this are fighting back. But at the risk of sounding like a broken record, had Grammarly stuck to *dead* writers there would be no legal recourse available. Lawmakers need to stop thinking purely in terms of IP rights and start legislating for dignity.

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds. I support neither imperialism or dictatorship. Sahar Delijani said it best:
I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.
Sahar Delijani, Iranian author

This year marked the first time the AI avatar of a victim—in this case, a dead man—has ever addressed a court, and it raises many questions about the use of this type of technology in future court proceedings. www.404media.co/i-loved-that...

New research shows how AI models default to Western-style directness, missing the cultural cues that govern everyday interactions for millions of Persian speakers worldwide — with the potential to derail negotiations, damage relationships, and reinforce stereotypes. arstechnica.com/ai/2025/09/w...

Hi friends! I’m new here and have no clue what I’m doing. Anyways, think of me as a Brambly Hedge field mouse but instead of foraging for berries, I’m here foraging for friends, insights on social media platforms, digital death and grief discussions, and good memes that I can squirrel away. 🥳
