Instead, I spent a great day at home Picked some massive blackberries, Stephen arranged some flowers from the garden, and I put together a roast chicken for dinner (with homemade gravy and mashed potatoes from last year’s garden)

Contractor called: “hey, the job we had before you is delayed. Any chance we could start you tomorrow?” After a mad dash of clearing the current patio and about a 1/4 of the yard. Looks like work will start on the new patio tomorrow. So excited for those cool autumn nights now

Celebrated this summer day in March by sitting outside, reading the entirety of Pappyland (fantastic), and getting an accidental but solid sunburn. Finished the day by grilling some chicken and putting together a salad (strawberries, blueberries, Gruyère, poppyseed dressing). Chilled rosé.
