One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the false narrative that we should be more concerned about a poor person misusing the welfare system or an immigrant being here illegally than we are about the ultra wealthy abusing the system and cruel people having unchecked power over all of us.

Reupping this story. The tax bill includes the school voucher tax credit described here -- a 100% tax credit for donations to voucher orgs - so taxpayers would essentially get their money back when they file their taxes. A huge win for school choice movement. www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...

The big idea is this: Wisconsinites have already given the state enough $ to fully fund K12 schools. But bc the state gives so little back (we’ve got a multiBILLION $ surplus for like the 3rd yr running), communities have to jack up their own taxes for school costs the state ought to be paying.
