Someone said that the generational disconnect wrt finances can be boiled down to the fact that things that were once luxuries (personal tech, gym memberships, etc) are now cheaper and more accessible than ever and essentials (rent, food, medical care ) are more expensive and inaccessible than ever

My husband and I are going to to end each day having something we’re looking forward the next day, just to have a glimmer of joy. My first thing is tomorrow night, we’re going to watch the 1987 classic, Throw Mama From The Train. I haven’t seen it in probably 20 years (minimum). I’m so excited.
