iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

(basically, zoom has failed me yet again with stupid log in bs, so I couldn't log in to the account, so I had to cancel a lesson 3 hours beforehand)

my teacher has been very nice at least, even though I let her down. student's parent got testy with, well, she didn't know it was me doing the emailing, but still?

yep, I think I would like to disappear into the ground or something. this is why i don't do things, because so often, I mess it up, and I don't like making others upset...

oof, I hate letting people down, and yet it seems to be one of my talents

Quick drawing of something I really enjoy.

Me coming home and greeting Brioche (a cat sleeping on a rolly cart) by saying "Brioche I'm home!"
He sits up and you can see the left side of his soft round head is concave from where it's been squished against a pillow for several hours.

Generations are useful as reference points, and there are of course many cultural differences between older and younger people, but I got fucking sick of “Millennials ruin everything” in the 2010s and I refuse to help pass that propaganda along to Gen Z.

Since it's banned books week: this book was banned by a library in Alabama. Personally I believe you can't get more harmless than a story about a princess saving the day, but I guess if the princess is trans and there's a subplot about conversion therapy people get stupid about it.

I skipped high school to buy tickets for The Phantom Menace. The following day my Dad asked ," how was school?" I replied, " It was fine " He then threw this newspaper at me and asked , " how the fuck would you know?" He was so pleased with himself that I didn't actually get in trouble.

As one pal put it, " a very John Conner look "

and while I can't compose writing well, I can make myself have good handwriting in Eng and apparently excellent handwriting in Jp. My Jp teacher wants me to impart my handwriting skills on other students, but I mostly got here from being a little art weirdo, so... 🤷

the only reason I can talk with any skill in Eng is 40-ish years where I've been forced to... I do know how to play the violin, and read music! (need to brush up to read bass/alto but treble clef is still there!)

🖤Am I capable?🩷 cooking: kinda whistle: no draw: need to start again paint: some? swim: yes english: if language, native speaker but.. dance: no sing: not great, but not the worst? drive: very yes gifting: like to but need a list write: haha no guitar: no speaking: Eng-yes Jp-must practice
