I'm sure it's plausible that an "AI" could write something that would trick me. The answer to this going forward is to immediately blacklist any writer who admits to using "AI" upon first mention of it. Like a plagiarist. They will of course admit this because people who use "AI" cannot do otherwise

Sometimes, when a reader you're asking at feedback says that they're no good for that, you genuinely need to respect that. Foxxo foxxed around and found out today. #writer #author #amwriting #editing #TIFU

Kek. Funny enough, I caught them posting this to my door despite the signs. And I offered them some coffee because it's cold out and I'm a nice guy, I didn't want the frozen looking grannies to get sick. They quickly flagged down a cab that they had waiting for them and fled.

Some Jehova's witnesses put a brocher about their god through my door, despite multiple signs on my door stating that I am a hardcore smut author, and to bother me at their own risk.

This also isn't the first time.

The image shows the brochure pinned to the door beside the signs.

A short blurb from my discord server and the others I've posted this on to help motivate people.

You know? A lot of people told me that being an author takes *talent*. That if you aren't born with some unique and special skill, or some insane gift for the written word, that you'll never make it as an author.

I call bullshit.

Being an author does *not* require talent. It is not an art, it is a discipline. it requires *determination* and the sheer, single minded *drive* to just hop in a word processor and at least *try*, every single day.

Maybe 100 words. Maybe 50. But just *try*.

And when you finally look back on yourself, several years from when you started, you'll find that you have improved by leaps and bounds, and realize that you have become an author already.

So when people tell you that you can never make it as an author, or demand you give up, tell them this: "Sounds like you have a skill issue."

Because they are only projecting, and trying to gatekeep so that you can't surpass them, while relying on what they believe to be the equivalent of a genetic predisposition for writing.

I mean, how lame is that, right?

So I have just experienced literal Twitter user level behavior from an artist on this site, for the crime of not having read literally every one of their posts for weeks so that I would know that their commission rules had not been updated. They unironically got mad over an innocent question...

I genuinely have no idea how I went from 1k likes to 11k since last year. This is insane. I only had like, 1k in 2024 this time of year, but I think a few Senpai noticed me, and then people started buying my work. And then I kinda just wrote a lot. How much? Uhh... A lot.

Gizmo reckons he’d have won Crufts yesterday with a loaf like this. I told him we’d have been undone by him tripping me up constantly on the bit where they run round the arena 😹😹🦁🦁 #kittyloafmonday #teamfloof #CatsOfBluesky

Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cat takes up most of this picture in the loaf position although he does a snow dipped paw poking out from behind his white chest fur. Being up close we can make out a lot of detail on Gizmo’s features like his dark pink nose with a white stripe, his white muzzle flecked with orange fur, his green eyes and his always pointing up ears with the orange fur tips. His dark orange tabby stripes which form an M on his head are clearer too. Gizmo is lying on a silver/grey/white rug and he has a piece of red and white candy stripe string coming out from under his paw.
