All this to say: I'm alive and I'm doing well. Just been trying to prioritise my health and good recovery in every way before I try jump back into creating again since it's honestly something I have a very complicated relationship with currently!

Haven't even drawn very much because in all honesty, I've had a mixture of burnout I've struggled with for years and the brain fog while being sick + recovering to contend with. Plus in all honesty? I haven't wanted to stress myself out with any kind of pressure in case it slowed recovery

So as it turns out, recovering from emergency surgery and being sick for a long time prior to that ALSO includes the need to recover mentally! Which is what I've been doing for the last couple of months. Hence the absence on here lmao.

Been a few days since surgery now and I'm recovering well! Still staying with my family but I can't tell you how much better I feel after months of illness. I'm genuinely so excited for what comes next - I just want to hurry up and be able to do things!!!

Had surgery yesterday to remove my gallbladder and have been sleeping and recovering overnight! Chances are, a bundle of the issues I've been having with my health have been stemming from the build-up towards that? Fingers crossed - genuinely feel so validated because I KNEW something was off!

So I think I found out why I've been chronically ill the past few months! Had to go to the hospital a couple of days ago after suddenly falling very unwell with intense abdominal pain - turned out I had a large gall stone obstructing my gallbladder and it was very infected as a result.

Chronic illness to this level is pretty new to me, so trying to figure out how to manage my energy and expectations has been a real struggle. Navigating new parameters is so hard. I think I'm getting there slowly though..!
