The Flowering Death in His Lungs—Wriothesley makes the mistake of falling in love. archiveofourown.org/works/61933585 #wriolette

Neuvillette is not the fool Wriothesley must take him for. The shine on his lips. The exhaustion in his eyes. The shortness of breath when he talks too much, too fast. Wriothesley is in love, and it is killing him, as love on Teyvat is wont to do.

Every time they meet, Neuvillette watches Wriothesley deteriorate a little bit more.

He thinks he should like to find this person who has so captured and poisoned Wriothesley’s heart. He should like to mete out judgement against them for destroying such a man, noble and true.

Perhaps Wriothesley knows that, too. Perhaps that is why Wriothesley will not speak of his tormentor.

Experimental warmup inspired by lyrics I misheard, but it made sense to me. Not entirely happy with how it came out, so maybe I'll redo it when I have some time

An illustration of Tinkaton and Tinkatink hammering at an anvil in a blacksmith's workshop. Tinkaton is wearing safety goggles, an apron, and gloves. there is a fire lit behind them on the forge, and other hammers and tools around the room. Tinkaton’s big hammer hangs on the wall, a maushold is living in the smithy, and a bronzor is sleeping in a bookshelf

The Rhythm of Rain and Sun, ch17—Wriothesley and Neuvillette spring a trap for and face off against our villains. archiveofourown.org/works/573283... #neuwriolette

“You’re dead,” Josephine Bellecourt gasps, clawing at his wrist. “Archons, you’re dead, I held you down, I drowned you!”

“Couldn’t do me the favor of slitting my throat?” Wriothesley snarls, slamming her into a wall. He yanks his hand from her throat to slam it flat against her chest.

Ice explodes from his palm, wrapping her the same way he did Dougier in the Fortress, trapping her against the wall in a freezing cage.

She struggles, screaming, the neat pile of her hair pulling loose.

This, he remembers. This rage, this fear.

“You’re a ghost!” she screams at him. “You’re not real! You’ve been dead for nearly twenty years, you’re—”

The Rhythm of Rain and Sun, ch16—A discovery made on the Broker's body sends Wriothesley and Neuvillette into Meropide—and danger. archiveofourown.org/works/573283... #neuwriolette

The man drives a needle into his neck.

And then Wriothesley is on his knees, nerves afire, eyes wide, body shaking. He’s hot, he’s cold, he can’t breathe, can’t think. The pain eclipses thought, reason, drowns him in agony. It’s in his fingers, his chest. His heart stutters, and he gasps. His stomach clenches, and he dry heaves.

Distantly, he hears someone speaking, and then—

Then there’s not-Emily, Teyvat-Emily, and she’s on the stairs with empty eyes. There’s the soul-crushing terror of knowing more children are dead, the terror of his own failure, of the reality of his own mistakes. The weight of it bears down, crushingly painful, squeezing his heart as he gasps for air.

Then there’s Clorinde—There’s the overwhelming fear of her death, of Emily’s death. Of his own failures. Of the consequences of his survival.

I was recently asked to talk about being a “content creator” and I had to flat out say I am not a content creator To reframe what I do as an artist to being a content creator is something the internet has been pushing for a while and I just refuse to give into it or allow my life to become that

10/27 I'm bringing my "one positive thing every day" from the other site to here! The year is almost over, but it helped a lot in looking for something positive in every day even on bad days. I finished two full weeks of work after some down time! My trip in November is funded😌 #kissi1day1goodthing

The Rhythm of Rain and Sun, ch15—Wriothesley reaches a turning point and Neuvillette attempts to cook. archiveofourown.org/works/573283... #neuwriolette

“I want to finish this,” Wriothesley says.

Neuvillette’s expression shifts. Become ever so slightly guarded. “Finish this?”

Wriothesley barrels on. “I want to get the Bellecourts. This—all of this—it’s not our fault. We didn’t do this. But we’re going to finish this. We’re going to get those monsters, and we’re going to lock them up. We’re going to find out who bought from them, and we’re going to get those fuckers, too.” He braces both hands on Neuvillette’s desk, leaning over it.

A smile curves Neuvillette’s lips. “Not how I would have expressed that sentiment, but I am glad to hear it.”

“What can we do?” Wriothesley asks. “Right now, I mean. What can we do?”

Neuvillette chuckles. “Right now, it is one in the morning, and while I do not need to sleep, you do.”

Last week I told a good friend of mine who was depressed to join Bluesky, to follow people they like and just relax. They tried and I didn't get much news from that day. This morning They sent me a message to tell me their depression reduced considerably. They missed this feeling. I'm so happy!

Be kind to yourself in quiet, little ways today. Even if you think you don't "deserve" it. Even if it's awkward. Even if you feel guilty. No attacking yourself today & no abandoning yourself today. No doing your bullies' & abusers' dirty work for them. Not today.
