Can confirm iPhone 18 Pro Max has battery life of about 1.5 - 2 days for me. Even if this goes down quickly, it’s still saving battery cycles, so it should live a lot longer before needing replacement. Definitely makes it heavier though.

A Stripe-PayPal super company would be disastrous. Both are already at such a scale that small businesses’ needs and issues fall through the cracks, and customers have an ever-decreasing chance of being heard by anyone but an AI support bot. This will only make them even more chaotic to deal with.

I remember when a JetBrains dev advocate here told me that they’re just trying to be helpful by enabling their built-in code completion model by default. I disabled it. After installing Rider 2026.1, it reset to enabled. Thank you for knowingly ignoring my preference, I feel so very convenienced.

Two of the worst companies I’ve had to deal with. Stripe doesn’t care if your use case doesn’t fit the exact shape of their APIs but will gladly sell you more APIs for the bare minimum (tax, fraud protection). Pushes Link, which confuses customers. Something really, really makes me think someone was trying to prove a point about the lack of value of image models (other than fraud) by releasing a diagram this broken. Like, this went through a pull request and someone approved it. But it’s really hard to say with this company at the moment…

The horrendously broken AI-generated diagram showing how Git branching and tagging are used. Time goes up but commits/merges go down, typos everywhere, lines that make no sense, etc. The usual from an image model basically.

What concerns me about the AI bot that decided it was singled out and wrote a blog post slamming the maintainer is, it comes off like a neurodivergent person misreading a social situation. You might forgive a human doing this. Will that forgiveness be lost when it becomes a common pattern for AI?
