This comic hits on something huge: Community is crucial in these times. Without community, we're isolated and depressed by everything. You need people you love, who love you back. You need someone who brightens your day. And you need someone that you can do the same for.

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”
APStylebook @APStylebook

Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.

Entirely too many discussions about online safety being "for the kids" vs "too draconian" are uncritically accepting of the premise that the Internet is dangerous for kids. The real dangers have always been people who already knew the kids. More often family. Don't just accept the false premise
