Rahm Emanuel's career has been built on the myth that he did a good job with candidate recruitment and campaigning in 2006 at the DCCC. The DCCC actually did a bad job that year in both its primary and general targets. He benefitted from a wave and recruitment by the netroots and groups like LCV.
