Immature rufous hummingbird has landed on a twig with its wings behind it. It is perched on a spider flower plant with red flowers and bright green pinnate leaves. Based on vocalizations, and images of the tail feathers it is not an Allen’s which are very rare in our inland area.

Our largest local #butterfly, the #GiantSwallowtail feeding on a coneflower. The topsides of their wings are predominantly black with yellow accents, and the undersides are the opposite. So delicately beautiful. #FlyDay #EastCoastKin

Two years ago this week I received my first camera in the mail. You know how certain periods of your life the time seems to just fly by and you've blinked and missed it? The last two years has been the complete opposite of that thanks to this hobby. #Photography #Scape #Landscapes #Reflections

Thanks! I will do that but often I don't finish them until the day I share them, so I'm looking for ones I haven't processed yet. Pretty much the only metadata I have is whether I flagged it as good on the day I captured it, but I didn't start doing that until about 9 months in. Yes I'm sloppy 😀

I definitely do that too but over time I've moved towards one camera/one lens for an outing and just focus on their strengths for that day. Just an extra battery in my pocket, a lens wipe, and that's about it. 😀
