Today, with backing from the ACLU, Kelton and twelve other named researchers filed a class action suit against the NIH under director Jay Bhattacharya for censoring their research and violating their First Amendment rights.

There were 23 billion-dollar weather and climate disasters in the US in 2025. And we only know this because @climatecentral.org hired the NOAA employee who led this vital tracking effort, which was decommissioned by the administration last spring.

There will be a brain drain out of the US to Canada, Europe and other countries. And once we lose these top researchers we may never get them back. It‘s been a monumental mistake to attack science and higher education.

We found surprising age-specific inequality between the impacts of heat and cold. Heat: 75% of heat-related deaths were among those under 35. Cold: 96% of cold-related deaths are among those over 50. This is now accepted for publication, so more to come soon...
