My favourite graph from both papers. Scatterplot showing H3K27me3 enrichment over genome-wide 10kb bins in hypermethylated cells subjected to site-directed epigenome editing. X-axis: the TET1 demethylase was targeted to the Zdbf2 locus, resulting in 5mC loss, and H3K27me CUT&RUN was performed. Y-axis: same as X but the Celsr2 locus was targeted. In both cases, we observe site-specific maintenance of H3K27me3 upon loss of 5mC, highlighting the antagonism between both pathways.
