We did have another case at church where we were able to get carers managing the person's meds, but that was after a deliberate OD to harm themself. It's not going to be easy but we need to do something.

Thank you. She is meant to have carers come round, but because she discharged herself from hospital against advice I'm not quite sure where things are with that. She also did have a social worker, but I'm not sure if she still does. I'll try to establish that tomorrow.

I had a similar situation re the romance scam with a lovely, lonely bloke from church, in which the whole safeguarding team tried to warn him, but again he refused to listen. I fear we will be banging our heads against the same wall in this instance.

She has some family in the States (she's from there) plus an ex husband who still helps her out. But she's incredibly stubborn. It's the same situation with the meds, she does get a blister pack but just pops out various pills from different days. So we don't really know what we can do.

What does concern both of us a great deal, however, is that she believes she is engaged to Elon Musk. 🤢 Someone is scamming her but she won't hear anything of it. Banks etc have been involved before. These people deserve a special place in Hell for what they do.

I haven't heard from the cat lady today but have sent a message to check in. She often takes too many of her meds and sleeps for ages (we've all tried to stop her, to no avail) so I'm not overly concerned, plus the boy's at work so he could potentially check in on the way home.

The Giant Bolster of St. Agnes Beacon #folklorethursday It was said he could step from The Beacon to Carn Brea in Redruth in one huge stride. The giant of Carn Brea angered the Bolster so much he cleared his own hill of stones throwing them at Carn Brea so it became covered in granite boulders.

A vibrant red Fly Agaric mushroom lies among the earthy forest floor, its cap dotted with white specks that resemble tiny cotton tufts. Surrounded by fallen leaves and twigs, the mushroom’s thick white stem stretches out, showing off its iconic and almost whimsical appearance. Nearby, a smaller mushroom begins to emerge, hinting at the mushroom’s life cycle in the rich undergrowth.
