I'm enjoying the immersive experience of reading a book mentioning @bodleian.ox.ac.uk which I have borrowed from @bodleian.ox.ac.uk! But the Radcliffe Science Library was definitely not in the Rad Cam in 2011 (or at any other time, to my knowledge).

I always find the tension between convenience and managing demand/workload interesting. You have to physically come to many big libraries to register, even though having a card can (sometimes) offer remote benefits as well. But then anyone could sign up and they couldn't meet demand.

lol my flight got diverted because of a medical emergency and they landed us in reykjavik in the middle of the night and deplaned us and sent us through passport control and then the crew vanished and then british airways sent us links to book an overnight hotel room but for a hotel at heathrow

The route under the Botley railway bridge has fully opened, so I went down to see how the walking and cycling provision works. Summary: the route under the railway bridge is pretty good, the transitions on either side are terrible for cycling (and not that good for walking).

There is a stat going around that endometriosis takes *on average* 8 years to diagnose, and I wanted to give some context to this for anyone who was wondering HOW this happens for all these women. Fundamentally, it's drs dismissing people's symptoms. So, you go to a GO aged, say 22, and say

It is rare that I give up on an audiobook I paid for, but The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu has managed it. The American narrator has given the red-headed female main char an accent so bad I can't identify it over "British?" It could be Scottish, Irish, "Northern", even Geordie. No way to know.
