Did you have a childhood library? Mine was Skidompha. When I was going through a rocky patch in first grade, we moved to an apartment building where if you walked through the back yard, there was a short gravel path between two buildings that led right to the library! That public library was a safe haven for me and an early incubator of imagination and joy of reading. So it's with great joy that I return there to share my new picture book, SAFE CROSSING, April 25, at 10 AM, along with the Midcoast Conservancy and Sherman's Books. Sound up! I was walking my dog and heard barred owls. I took a video of these (maybe nesting?) screeching red tailed hawks in trees while I waited to catch the owls on video and you can hear them towards the end. The sunrise at the end was a random bonus.
