I caught several surfers at Lawrencetown Beach this morning at 9:30 - air temp was about 15 degrees at that time. These folks are hard core as some had been out at least an hour already. Just so you know, I don't surf. I'll stick to cycling.

Another reason I don't ride the roads. If I have to, to reach another trail, my eyes are are on the driver's side of vehicles to make sure there's no one there trying to kill me.

The robin's egg had not fallen from a nearby nest, but was left behind by a thief, possibly distracted by larger prey. I watched it for 2 days before disappearing. Credit to my grade 10 biology teacher, Dolores LaRose, for teaching me about curiosity in death and decay. And daisies, just 'cause.

I keep telling people that the majority of cyclists drive cars so contribute to upkeep of roads. We have insurance (home/vehicle). The big takeaway is that we are all community members and should be looking out for each other.

Every time someone says Canada is broken or they want their province to separate, I think : there's a person who has not experienced living outside the country in another land with martial law, military conducting exercises in the cities, and air raid drills. This is eye opening. Or it should be. I don't think I took a bus until junior high. We usually walked to school, but then again, I was privileged enough to live near schools. We really need to get rid of the parents-driving-kids-everywhere mentality, though.(With exceptions of course)

I have a difficult time understanding the US political system. I'm not a stupid person, but how in the name of all that's holy is gerrymandering legal? Why allow your politicians that much power? Not that we're much better : look up what happened to the leader of the official opposition last year

As a person living with MS, I can relate. Like Jorge, I come from a place of privilege, but so many don't have the resources they need. MS costs health care $ and it costs the tax payer in lost productivity. Recent cuts by this gov't don't help. They will cost us more in the long run.
