bonus shots since i think people like seeing the razor sharp lines on the PVM-20L5. i sit far enough away that this isn’t the real experience of using it, but the photos do have a certain appeal to them. last shot is more normal use

first #scanlinesunday in a long time. new iPhone *finally* lets you adjust shutter speed without an extra app, so taking these got a lot easier since it’s having a moment, here’s Super Real Mahjong PV on Saturn. yes we all love the PC-FX version, but i’m not getting that out today lol. YPbPr 240p

if they announce a blu-ray now, i’ll just have to live with that, until my wife kills me. if i was smart, i’d watch it now and sell them while they’re still worth a lot (but i won’t). i mean, how can you put a price on liner notes like this? @animeigo.com

ladies and gentlemen: we got ‘em. all 52 episodes of You’re Under Arrest (1994-97). they’re not in the best condition in the world, but it’ll do. the liner notes are all there, and i managed it for under $300. also got Anthology for a good price, figured it was worth a shot

perfect article that encapsulates my feelings on the whole series. i had never tried it until after 6 was out, when of course i started playing 2 and fell in love with it. the fun and technical prowess of 2 and 3 on the xbox hold up impossibly well today. extremely “one more round” game

a lot has transpired. big purchase still incoming on tuesday🤞and i already posted Iczer Reborn, but here it is with the whole series. the two tapes in here never made it to anything else in the US, including LaserDisc

009-1, Ray: The Animation, Shamanic Princess, DNA Sights 999.9, Iczelion, and Fight! Iczer-One

i see there’s a tab for mini books too. i definitely wouldn’t have the full set of those in a mahjong tile-shaped slipcase

to be clear, i only took photos of the ones in that screenshot. i got about 14 more of these 😂

on my way to make an “i already unlocked that one” joke, i kept reading the rest of the list… doesn’t look like i’m beating the allegations. “but your honor, i don’t have a pc-98 yet, it’s actually the fm towns vers—“ he adds 10 years to my sentence

i don’t think people are talking enough about City Hunter (1987). y’all heard of this one? it just came out recently (39 years ago), and if you’ve ever heard someone say something good about it, they were right

anime purchasing has slowed slightly, but i have tentative plans for a huge pickup in a few weeks that i will sorely regret if the series ever gets a blu-ray. please look forward to it

I got one of those! Complete with 480i YPbPr and 32 (37?) kHz coax digital audio. As someone who strives to see the good in every system, the catalog is fairly dire outside this game. But it’s a banger for sure. Perfect for showing off a CRT. Songbird still sells licensed copies if you get a player.

would be a fun guessing game, but so many options. gotta be U-Jin Brand for me, the LD/VHS cover is so nice

Oh I’m wrong, I have Idol Janshi Suchie-Pai Special and Super Real Mahjong PIV for 3DO, but not Final Romance 2. Shame on me 😂

Lord, did they? My 3DO has been out of commission a while and I don’t remember if I ever actually played it there. Was always doing NGCD. Just remembered I also have a boxed AES conversion, but never had an AES system

I’ve been combing the old CPM licenses for things I want to watch/read, either because they’re very good or very bad. Equally alluring in some cases. The important thing is that they were made in the 90s, or “God’s Decade” But really I’m just a huge sucker for the illustration style at the time
