You’ll Be OK
"I'm havin a breakdown," says one crudely-drawn stick figure to another. "You'll be OK," says the second. The first stick figure exclaims, "AGGHHH", and collapses. His head and outstretched arms and legs spell out the letters O-K.

The more judges block Trump's plainly illegal directives, the more Republicans attack judges. These attacks sometimes go beyond Trump's insults, or Elon Musk's call for "an immediate wave of judicial impeachments,"
or even House Speaker Mike Johnson's musings on Congress's authority to
"eliminate an entire district court": They include threats to the physical safety of federal judges and their families, too.
Beginning around February, for instance, judges started receiving anonymous pizza deliveries, which they interpreted as an implicit warning that the sender knows where they live. Dozens of orders have been placed in the name of Daniel Anderl, the son of Judge Esther Salas, who was murdered in his parents' home five years ago by a self-described "anti-feminist" attorney posing as
a deliveryman.

I have a huge request for my readers: Trump's tax and spending bill will be moving through the Senate. Senators can invoke the Byrd Rule to try to remove the anti-trans Medicaid ban and EHB changes. You can find and call your senator here and ask them to do that. Please share as well.

There is a type of man who likes to think of himself as dangerous in a "jungle cat ready to pounce" sort of way when he is actually dangerous in the "old bridge that you're crossing starts ominously groaning" sort of way.

Pope Leo XIV's grandparents were 7th Ward Creoles
The newly elected pontiff, born in Chicago, has ancestral ties to the city’s historic Seventh Ward, according to genealogists at The Historic New Orleans Collection.

Power point slide with a corgi in a gilt frame in the right corner. The slide reads “No children. No husband. I want to live all by myself. I want to come home from my self rewarding job and have everything exactly where I left it. And no GROSS children.”

I think I’m going to have to give up on people understanding that “widespread, regular famine” is in fact a bigger problem than additives in food that help us feed people.
A quote: “Make your own food from fresh ingredients. Problem solved.”

The thing being quoted is me saying: I just ran into someone doing the whole “don’t eat a thing if your great-grandparents wouldn’t recognize it as food” and I’m begging people to know a little food history and understand how far back you have to go to find food without additives.

. @openargs.bsky.social I can’t find a skeet to quote-skeet; does this work? If I remember right from past T3BEs, larceny is stealing, robbery is stealing with the threat of violence, and burglary is indeed stealing from someone’s house at night. So I think it has to be D, both burglary & larceny.

I am once again begging people to realize that the law is words on paper and is not self executing. "That's illegal" is not and has never been synonymous with "that's impossible" or "that can't be done." "That's illegal" means "you might get in trouble for that depending on who you are."

My feed is full of photos and videos of what seems like a pretty massive day of protest and yet as far as I can tell this is the only story on the homepages of either the NYT or WaPo about protests right now
She marched against Trump in 2017. Now, she says, ‘just let it all burn.’
Democrats are struggling to match the massive “resistance” movement that sprang up in Trump’s first term — and battling cynicism among their own voters.
