Bunny Borg. One for the Bunnies & Burrows revivalists aka BaBR™️? bunnyborg.com #ttrpg
A vivid dark-fantasy illustration of a brown rabbit with glowing red eyes, sitting upright among tangled leaves and bare branches against a black night sky. Its fur is streaked with orange, white and black. A green, scaly curved bow lies across its body, alongside a pale arrowhead and skeletal-looking hand. Three winged insects glow yellow-green nearby. Ornate red lettering across the bottom reads “Bunny BORG”.

Playing through the Cosmic Dark campaign, last night was Time Murder. Wanton destruction & disobeying operational instructions has moved the current employees towards a swift exit from Extracsa, but there is now a new assignment for them to redeem themselves. www.thievesoftime.com/cosmic-dark/
A close-up photograph of an orchid against a plain white background. Three prominent blooms have broad, rounded petals in golden yellow, shading into warm peach and orange. Their intricate centres are vivid pink and magenta, with small white tips and yellow throats speckled with dark red.

Two flowers face forwards, one above the other, while a third on the right tilts sideways and is partly cropped. More blooms overlap behind them. Green stems rise above the flowers, carrying several tightly closed, oval buds tinged green and brown. Black support stakes and a small clip hold the stems upright.

New book day.
A close-up photograph of the book Lost Realms: Histories of Britain by Thomas Williams, held upright with part of a hand visible along the left edge.

The cover is emerald green with large cream lettering and black shadows. A stylised illustration shows a sword standing vertically in the ground, its ornate hilt decorated with interwoven patterns. A cream zigzag crack stretches from its base towards the bottom-right corner. Behind it are rolling hills and a small hilltop settlement, with smoke curling from pointed roofs beneath a pale pink sky.

An endorsement from Rory Stewart at the top reads: “Archaeology is changing so much the way we view the so-called Dark Ages … Williams is just brilliant at bringing them to light.” Smaller reviews appear on the right, partly obscured by glare on the glossy cover.

Session zero, a bit of session one: #Vaesen & The Lost Mountain Saga. We have an intriguing bunch: vagabonds, priests, occultists, hunters & private detectives. After meeting a famous Danish author, our group heads off to the mining town of Falun and a frosty reception from Rev. Bruselius. #ttrpg
The image is the cover of Vaesen: The Lost Mountain Saga. Two travellers stand beside a twisted, nearly leafless tree, looking across a glowing yellow valley. Dark mountains rise on either side, and a huge, shadowy humanoid creature with pale eyes looms in the mist between them. The warm landscape and muted sky give the scene an eerie, storybook feel.

Session zero last night of Trail of Cthulhu 2e. A new campaign where we are using a hacked (for 2e) version of the Bookhounds of London and with plans to run the improvised Armitage Files campaign. Our bookhounds have a shop, Shrawley Scripts, maybe a successor to the one below. #TTRPG #booksky
A magazine-style page about The Bermondsey Bookshop, centred on a large black-and-white historical photograph of the shopfront at 89 Bermondsey Street, London. The narrow premises has a dark-painted wooden frontage, with “The Bermondsey Book Shop” written in pale lettering across the fascia and the number 89 on either side. A large display window is crowded with books and printed material. Two women in 1920s-style coats and dresses stand together in the doorway to the right, looking towards the camera. Beneath the photograph is the article title, “The Bermondsey Bookshop” by Debora Gosling, followed by three columns of text describing the shop’s history. Between the columns is a colour photograph of a blue, slightly worn copy of The Bermondsey Book, dated June 1925. The article explains that the shop was established in the 1920s by Ethel and Sidney Gutman as an unusually welcoming cultural and literary centre in a relatively poor part of Bermondsey, with a reading room, inexpensive membership, lectures and its own publication.

Many weekends have been sent sorting, tidying and clearing out the old family home. A weird time. My dad's books dominate most rooms. Here's a recent selection. Always amazed how much people accumulate during a lifetime and the kind of things important to them.
A close-up of a tall stack of worn vintage books, mostly cloth-bound in faded reds, browns and blues. Visible titles include Old English Churches, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Frenchman’s Creek by Daphne du Maurier, A Book of London Yesterdays, The Regency Style, Muir’s Historical Atlas, and Lost London by Philip Davies. The books vary in size and condition, with scuffed edges, faded lettering and aged covers; a bookshelf is visible in the background.

Quote this with a picture of the aircraft you'll accept as a bribe.
A restored First World War-era biplane stands on a grassy airfield beneath a pale blue, lightly clouded sky. The olive-green aircraft has two broad, dark wings supported by wooden struts and criss-crossing tension wires. At the front is a large white engine cowling and a two-bladed wooden propeller. British roundels are visible on the lower wing, with a red, white and blue marking on the tail. A modern aircraft can be seen in the distance.

If you're curious as to what The Terror Beneath is all about, this page should be useful
The Terror Beneath Reading List If you’re less familiar with Machen’s tales of horror it’s recommended you read the following (most, if not all, are available to read free online):
• The White People • The Great God Pan • The Novel of the Black Seal • The Novel of the White Powder • Ornaments in Jade • The Inmost Light • Out of the Earth • The Lost Club • The Terror • The Shining Pyramid • The Hill of Dreams • The Red Hand • A Fragment of Life • The Green Round • N WHAT IS WEIRD FOLK HORROR?
The taxonomy of horror subgenres is admittedly a bit of a mire. Machen’s stories are especially difficult to categorise, with hallmarks of cosmic horror intertwined with the rustic chills of folk horror and the science fiction trappings of weird fiction.
The Terror Beneath uses the term ‘weird folk horror’ to describe this particular ‘Machenesque’ genre, encompassing strange Otherworldliness, pagan terror and science gone awry. Because this game expands on Machen’s mythos, for want of a better word, having a term such as weird folk horror makes it easier to understand what sort of stories and monsters fit into this world. A ghost haunting a mansion isn’t weird folk horror, but a scientist building a machine to communicate with an ancient horned god is. A weird folk horror mystery will likely have a mix of the following:
• Contacting an ancient pagan deity in one of its forms (The Great God Pan).
• The slow realisation that the world isn’t as it seems, with the mundane giving way to the fantastic (A Fragment of Life).
• Discovering murderous hidden beings of folklore lurking in the countryside (The Shining Pyramid).
• Traversing the Veil between Earth and the Otherworld (The White People).
• Scientists mixing technology and occult rites with disastrous consequences (The Inmost Light).
• Discovering strange places that exist outside of space and time (N).
• Secret societies with bizarre and frightening rituals (The Lost Club).
• Ancient beings arriving in industrialised London (T…

Almost at the end of Path of Glory, it's a fairly old school, but brutal & tough campaign. I think I've been through 3 characters and I think most of us have lost at least one. Many sessions we deal with death saves. It's a step up from the Dragon Emperor in terms of challenge, story & fun. #TTRPG
