Really pleased with this research, which suggests that awareness and those following the Women's Euros continues to grow from 2022. Interest among public isn't yet at peak - suggesting public attention could increase further if the Lionesses win tonight. ⚽️⚽️⚽️ ⬇️

MPs are set to debate the decriminalisation of abortion later today. Only half (50%) of the British public say they know the law as it currently stands - that women can face criminal prosecution for having an abortion beyond 24-week limit with consent of a doctor. (1/3)

Love this. Some things that strike me every time leave the UK: 1. Vegetarian / vegan food. Mad how difficult it is elsewhere. 2. Roads / driving safety 3. Clean, free & broadly decent green spaces 4. Free museums 5. Lack of wild / scary looking animals kicking about

One of the key issues between different amendments is *if* someone is penalised for an illegal abortion, who should that be. Majority (55%) say it should be whoever performed the abortion, with public much less likely to say it should the woman who had the abortion. (2/3)

Ahead of the #SpendingReview let’s explore what @ipsosintheuk.bsky.social polling tells us of the public mood and what they want to see. 1/ First of all, economic optimism is weak. 63% expect economy to worsen in the next year. Pretty poor by historic standards.

Was particularly struck by our @ipsosintheuk.bsky.social findings in webinar today on this question. Public (but in particular Con and Reform voters) genuinely believe there’s money to be found by cutting waste / efficiencies to put into NHS & defence.

Reform take Runcorn by 6 votes. Big moment. Reform surge is real. No two ways about it. Labour will desperately want to increase the pace of change - to show those voting Labour last summer (on issues like public services, the cost of living and poverty / inequality) that they were right to do so.
