it should simply not be legal for “ai” to generate photo-realistic images of people. or with people. they could limit the prompts to doing minor edits like fixing hair or or smoothing skin texture. they could do all these things. they actively choose not to.

When I was ten, 9/11 hadn't happened yet. Only 2% of Americans had home internet access. We still had snow in October and my biggest concern was catching new Gargoyles episodes. I would have answered something stupid about robot butlers. These kids have been let down.

Okay so @defector.com has had an odd glitch since the site redesign a couple of weeks back where the wrong photo and headline are often put together on the main page and I was going to ask them about fixing it but this just happened and as far as I'm concerned they have to leave it as is.
