I also don't mind humorous descriptions of funny images so long as they are also *accurate*. Sometimes funny alt text ends up doing a better job of capturing the image than a purely dispassionate description. But again, thoroughness and accuracy have to be the #1 priority.

Speaking only for myself, (and I'm not visually impaired), I don't mind things like photo credits in the alt text as long as there is first and foremost a *good* description of the image. And for fuck's sake, there had better be alt text of any text in said image.

PSA: the alt text field is there for you to describe the image, including copy/pasting any text the image contains. it’s not there as a “bonus” space to hide photo credits, hashtags, or secret jokes (although, you can describe images humorously).
