I so love this. I proudly worked for most of my career at the “Illinois Natural History Survey” where the roots of the organization was firmly in the old school observation of nature. So lucky to have worked with a senior naturalist - sitting with his field notebooks was a place of wonder! 🐝🐟🌿🐾🪶

Just started listening to Carl Sagan’s book “The Demon-Haunted World”, written in 1995. How much of the information is still relevant today? So far, EVERYTHING. It’s astonishing to reflect on how little has changed in society’s understanding—or lack thereof—of how science is conducted.
