I started with the golden age, where illustration was better than photography, the artist being the photoshop, using models, props & lighting to compose a striking, reproducible image. Well paid, they could afford that help.

I can't decide if I like Sukeban Honey or Cutie Thunder Liger better. The wrestler gimmick Honey is paying tribute to was based off of an anime creation by Go Nagai. Jushin Thunder Liger ended up having a legendary career, well known to wrestling fans all over the world.

Despite record sales across the industry the state of the creator-owned market seems dire right now. Multiple publishers are scaling back their line, a few don't seem to know what they want, others have pretty much shifted focused to entirely licensed books. It's weird!
