I thought I wasn't patriotic, but my wife swears I'm one of the most patriotic people she knows because I believe in democracy, I believe that this experiment we embarked upon 250 years ago is worthwhile. Just because there's a bunch of fascist assholes in charge right now doesn't mean we give up.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

I asked Claude if it can learn, and that the I in AI (intelligence) presumes ability to learn new things. Claude says AI is marketing, it has already been trained on the models, and it's really just a pattern matching engine that can use tools.

I get it, Kubernetes is dope if you have services you want to run A LOT OF with varying needs for resource constraints, scheduling, etc. It's utter shit if you have a few one off things to run that don't change much, or need to manage state in themselves.
