I’ve been sitting on a take that’s basically “the fact that Aveta had to do this should’ve given everyone pause.” How do you have two intentional attempts to diversify the Skyline fail and still not acknowledge that you have a whiteness problem?

Bluesky’s growing pains strain its relationship with Black users
Bluesky is facing increased pressure to crack down on hateful and violent rhetoric, even though robust moderation conflicts with its decentralized goals.

The right wing justices ideological priority is that the system function uninterrupted regardless of the guilt of the convicted, unless the guilty are political or economic elites. Fine for the wheels of justice to crush the innocent as long as they keep turning.

They did tell. That's part of why they zeroed in on a specific search area. Also, they weren't certain it was the sub exploding. Decently sure but not enough to say definitively. With the location of the debris field though they can now know what they thought they heard is what they actually heard

Do liberals understand that by enforcing the rule of law in the face of overt, confessed-to federal crimes, they are destroying norms we don’t care about and unleashing a retaliatory abuse of the system that we were planning to do if we felt like it anyway?

To make it explicit for people who don’t follow tech in this way: the lesson investors took from Uber being able to break the law & then get the law built *around* their exploration was that this is a great way to monopolize a market just as it’s forming, and regulators will help. Thus: AI “panic”.

I share this with everybody: if you encounter traumatic content, play 20-30 minutes of Tetris or other fast paced, visually intensive video game. It helps prevent future intrusive thoughts. It can help even long after the exposure: when you start dwelling on it, grab the Tetris.

6. People who aren't experienced in the nuances of T&S work are calling for "more moderators", by which they mean T&S agents, which is the wrong ask. Agents don't set policy or handle product safety feature design. They apply existing rules to the reports that come in. That's not the issue here.
