Looking forward to reading this! @cevans3.bsky.social's earlier research was one of my inspirations to dive deeper into the 'long goodbye' of British slaveholding in Brazil. Itself just one strand of a much broader challenge that Chris' book poses re. 19C Britain's anti-slavery identity.
