my idea is basically, what if dual flight sticks but with two lower axes for camera pan and rotate

ooh I've always wanted to prototype a certain design for custom video game controllers, that seems far more accessible now with 3D printing and Claude firmware...

The next Democratic President should hold a major conference where they announce that they will be renaming the Gulf of Mexico, Lake Ontario, etc. to "The Gulf Of The President Shouldn't Get To Rename Things Unilaterally", "Lake the President Shouldn't Get To Rename Things Unilaterally"

v1.5 will replace the scattered scalar inputs (Number, Text, Date, Bool) with the new combined Value Input node, with a type switch and built-in formatter/units dropdown. Value Input, List Input, and Table Input now get a cool little //// stripe in the Add Menu to signify that they're multi-type.

I’m increasingly worried that progressives outside of California view Ro Khanna as a viable presidential contender and don’t understand how deeply strange and unreliable he is.

The Constitution allows it. South Korea has proven it works. If you want to make impeachment viable—and so much else is pointless if you don't—then it can be done by a simple majority adopting a simple rules change: vote on the verdict by secret ballot.

A Democratic Senate Should Adopt Secret Impeachment Ballots on a Priority Basis

Such a change, requiring no constitutional amendment, would free senators to vote their judgment instead of their fears

Here in Birmingham, our electricity bills are 41% higher than Huntsville's because we have an awful investor-owned utility (that has the state government in their pocket) and Huntsville has public power www.al.com/news/birming...

Birmingham cannot change its electric utility overnight. But Alabama can change the way that utility is regulated.

So, this very sympathetic piece where the subject is “a lifelong Democrat who had voted for Trump for the first time in 2024”. 5 minutes of checking his facebook shows pro Trump posts as far back as 2019, and a post saying that he “stands with Trump” posted just a couple of days after Trumps coup.

DreamWorks should make a ROBOTS 2. Give it the Puss in Boots: The Last Wish treatment. Have Rodney and Piper as a detective team solve a resource problem, where they discover an AI at the center of the Robot Planet is assimilating all spare resources into itself and must defeat it.

Look it's ok if you haven't come across it, but I promise you quite a few folks in this discussion do in fact have principled stances against ethnonationalism and theocracy. Don't say nobody.

As a Somerville resident, I want to point out that part of this was the simple realization that the people who were most inconvenienced by this (and whined about it most vocally) don't live here. Once that came into focus a lot of these changes were pretty straightforward.

Being kind and gracious is easy and has its perks!

People are insanely willing to help you out if your request is within reasonable bounds and you know the right tone of voice to use. Just today I got permission for the fast line for passport control, + asked for some extra bread/cheese from the inflight meal and they gave me 2 of each. Score!
