Avengers Doomsday poster with custom text.

Poster is of Doctor Doom, a guy wearing armour and a green cape. He has a metal mask. He is standing in front of a wall with an intricate design. He is standing facing the right of the image. He is holding his gloved right hand in front of his face, maybe just under a foot away from his face.

Text says, "I hope Scott Lang doesn't kick my ass again"

Concept art is the most poisonous place to use Al. That's when your creative vision is the most fragile and undeveloped. When you see what the Al made and say, "That looks cool, I want my game to look like that!" it's like it's secretly swapping out your baby with its own.

Sora from Kingdom Hearts as he looks in the Steamboat Willie level of Kingdom Hearts. The whole image is in greyscale. Sora is rendered in a more simple, more cartoony style. He is wearing a onesie that zips up in the front. The onesie has a hood but he does not wear it. He is wearing a belt. He also has a chain around his neck with a crown medallion hanging from it. He stands in an empty field. There is a fence behind him and a hill behind that. At the extreme left of the image is the face of Pete the cat. It is scrunched angrily. There is what looks like the edge of a bubble or orb over Pete's face, as he seems to be walking past the bubble/orb from behind. A speech bubble has been added. It makes Sora look like he is saying "I'm not even supposed to be here today."

I can't stop thinking about how Canadians were so united and angry at Trump that Carney basically had a blank cheque to move Canada in any direction he wanted, and he chose a rightwing past. Taxes bad. Government small, except more military and cops. The lack of vision has been astounding.

a note that the federal government's map of long-term drinking water advisories is misleading — in B.C. water advisories are tracked by the provincial First Nations Health Authority and ignored by the federal government. some B.C. First Nations have been under boil-water advisories since 2019.
a map of active long-term drinking water advisories, which shows 0 active drinking water advisories in B.C. First Nations communities. this is not true as there are many current, ongoing advisories that are simply not tracked by Indigenous Services Canada

My Canadian values involve having people be paid for their work and having it not be stolen, not damaging the environment more than we have, sharing our wealth with all, and encouraging literacy in children. AI is counter to all of this But that’s not what your donors want, is it?

I love having a prime minister who completely buys into the tech industry’s framing of AI, such that he’s throwing billions of dollars at AI companies and pushing more Canadians into relying on their shitty products. To him, the core issue is “engagement and adoption,” regardless of the drawbacks.

PM @mark-carney.bsky.social ’s "my way or the highway" approach to the environment is authoritarian, not democratic. He is sidelining Indigenous leaders, gaslighting advocates, and silencing his own MPs who dare to speak up. Canadians deserve leadership, not bullying tactics. 👇
A screenshot of a parliamentary transcript from May 25, 2026, featuring an exchange between NDP MP Jenny Kwan and Liberal Parliamentary Secretary Wade Grant. Under a section labeled "Question" at 3:10 PM, Jenny Kwan criticizes the Prime Minister of taking an authoritarian approach, gaslighting environmental groups, and bullying Indigenous leaders who disagree with him. Below her question, Wade Grant responds by defending the Liberal government's environmental investments, mentioning new methane regulations, clean tax credits, and partnership with six First Nations to protect marine conservation areas in Klemtu.

Energy firm pushed federal officials to scale back clean-electricity rules tied to Al sector
TAYLOR C. NOAKES
Updated Mar, 6:30, MM. 27, 2026suspending Alberta's clean-electricity regulations and eliminating the oil and gas
emissions cap. The same agreement also proposed the development of AI data
centres in Alberta, a potential new use for the province's considerable gas resources.
That agreement has been widely criticized by environmentalists and Indigenous
communities.
Phe term "data centre" appears at least twenty-five times in notes from Capital
Power's interactions with the federal government, while the term "emissions"
'Ippears seventeen times. and "clean-energy regulations" and "net zero" appear each
nt least fourteen times
Records show the company has advocated specifically for the development of gas-
fired power plants, policies and programs related to the development of AI data
centres, and "the energy source(s) required for those data centres to be successful."
Environment and Climate Change Canada press secretary Keean Nembhard wrote in
an emailed statement that the government's clean-energy regulations continue "to
apply in all provinces and territories and will require electricity-generating units to
achieve net-zero emissions by 2050."
However, Nembhard added, "data centres with their own power generation, not
connected to the commercial grid, would not be covered by the [regulation]."

I am constantly horrified by this government, and utterly bemused by people who think that Carney is better than Poilivere. They clearly haven’t been paying enough attention to what he is actually doing. @althiaraj.bsky.social has been one of the few journalists honest and pointed about this.
First two paragraphs from a Toronto Star column by Althia Raj: “ Prime Minister Mark Carney plans to make it easier to kill off endangered species, pollute waterways and risk human health, all in the name of fast-tracking private-sector development projects.

For a prime minister who dismissed progressive Liberal MPs’ concerns over spending on child care, health care and pharmacare during a caucus meeting this week, Friday’s announcement on streamlining infrastructure project approvals is a further indication the party is moving to the right, further than anything Liberals have seen, and a giant call to action to all Canadians who care about the environment.”
