...You'll need to create an IPSA account in order to submit a paper or panel, but this takes just a few minutes and no money at all. You'll also need to put down 'RC31 - Political Philosophy' as your chosen section when submitting...

What a week it’s been (again!) for political theory @ecpr.bsky.social in Krakow #ecprgc2026. As usual we’ve had packed panels (though @ecpr-nptmethods.bsky.social were regularly struggling to get 40+ into a room for 24! (inc. here with @kspiekermann.bsky.social discussing institutions)...

Does anyone else keep misspelling the word misspelled? Have to rewrite it every time I've either mispelled or mispelt it. Meanwhile, copy-editors keep restricting my use of 'whilst', and whilst/while I get the aim of making pol-theory more accessible, I'm not convinced that's where the action is...

Either way, would be good to see lots of theorists turning up & reminding management just what a hotbed of humanistic excellence Exeter continues to be. I thought perhaps Win95 was an easy compromise, but happy to be corrected. Truth be told, I'd be most comfortable with an earlier version of MS-DOS in which I would know how to edit autoexec.bat and config.sys. These are not skills I have found any use for sadly in a very long time...

I have been known to finish my annual travel budget in September by going to ECPR 🤣 Could be worse though. If I went to APSA at around the same time I would need a special funding application, plus presumably ethics approval and permission to travel, given the way things are going...
