Der konservative Kampf gegen Antisemitismus wäre deutlich glaubwürdiger, wenn es Konsequenzen haben würde, dass die CDU nun auf kommunaler Ebene offen mit Rechtsextremen kooperiert, um die Erinnerung an den Holocaust zu verhindern. Aber da wird nichts kommen - oder?

Der „demokratische Pluralismus", den Stecker hier beschwört, liegt wohlgemerkt außerhalb der Grenzen, die das Grundgesetz der Politik zieht. Erinnert sei an die klare Positionsbestimmung im NPD-Urteil, wonach das Konzept der ethnischen Volksgemeinschaft
- nichts anderes ist „ethnokulturelle Gemeinschaft" - mit Menschenwürde und Demokratieprinzip unvereinbar ist. Es ist gerade die Pointe des demokratischen Verfassungsstaates, auch den Pluralismus, wie er für freiheitliche Demokratien konstitutiv ist, in die Schranken zu weisen, wenn politische Konzepte darauf hinauslaufen, die Fundamente der freiheitlichen Demokratie zu beseitigen. Und es ist die Pflicht der Wissenschaft im demokratischen Verfassungsstaat - der Rechts-, der Politik- und jeder anderen Wissenschaft gleichermaßen -, demokratiefeindlichen Konzepten wie „Ethnopluralismus" und „ethnokulturelle Gemeinschaft" keine wissenschaftliche Legitimation zu verschaffen.

Auf die Wahlerfolge der AfD reagieren die anderen Parteien mit einer Anpassung an deren Migrationspolitik. In PROKLA 217 fragte Jannis Eicker, ob die die migrationspolitische Repräsentationslücke den Aufstieg der AfD erklärt: prokla.de/index.php/... #noafd
Die Erfolge der AfD hängen weniger mit einer vermeintlich zu »liberalen« Migrationspolitik zusammen als vielmehr damit, dass die AfD in bestehenden Politiken sowie im migrationspolitischen Diskurs des Mainstreams stets Anknüpfungspunkte, wenn nicht gar Steilvorlagen, für ihre menschenverachtenden Positionen finden konnte.Vor allem aber übersieht der Erklärungsansatz der migrationspolitischen Repräsentationslücke, dass durch spezifische gesellschaftliche Verhältnisse das Politikangebot der AfD überhaupt erst für große Teile der Bevölkerung plausibel und attraktiv wird. Diese Diskurse und Strukturen bestehen – ebenso wie die menschenfeindlichen Einstellungen – bereits seit langem.Der aktuelle Zeitgeist weht also eindeutig von rechts und drängt progressive Bewegungen in einen Abwehrkampf um den mühsam erkämpften sozialen Fortschritt. Aber natürlich wäre es falsch, in eine reine Verteidigungshaltung zu verfallen, da weder die Frustrationen mit dem Status quo ausreichend erfasst werden könnten noch eine Perspektive zu dessen Überwindung darin ihren Platz hätte.

Den medialen Umschwung im Umgang mit der AfD kann man auch am Hofieren solcher Experten beobachten: Völkische, verfassungsfeindliche Konzepte werden nun als ganz normaler Teil des demokratischen Pluralismus normalisiert.

Nach Ansicht der AfD in Sachsen-Anhalt handelt es sich bei Gender-Studien und Postkolonialismus nicht um Wissenschaft, sondern um politische Ideologien. "Wir werden deshalb bei den Verhandlungen über die Zielvereinbarungen mit den Universitäten und Hochschulen unseren Einfluss als Landesregierung nutzen, um darauf hinzuwirken, dass die Geisteswissenschaften wieder einem wissenschaftlichen Anspruch genügen", heißt es in Bezug auf die Gender-Studien.
Beim Postkolonialismus handle es sich letztlich "um nichts anderes als ein Programm zur Zerstörung der Europäischen Identität" und die "politisch motivierte Vernichtung der Wissenschaft".
Die AfD wolle prüfen, wie diese schädlichen Tendenzen zurückgedrängt werden können.“
