ATTN Registered postgrads at QUB, @ucddublin.bsky.social , @ox.ac.uk only: The Quill Project is recruiting three Research Assistants to support the digital humanities intiative, Writing Peace. The successful UCD candidate will work in UCDA. www.pmb.ox.ac.uk/vacancy/quil...
The Quill Project is recruiting three Research Assistants to support Writing Peace, an exciting digital humanities initiative exploring the negotiations that led to the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. Based at Pembroke College, Oxford, the project brings together researchers, archivists, and librarians across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Britain.

We are seeking one student from each of three partner institutions—the University of Oxford, Queen’s University Belfast, and University College Dublin—to work as a collaborative cohort while embedded in their home institution.

The posts will run from November 2026 to July 2027 and offer 200 hours of paid work at £15 per hour, plus holiday pay. Working arrangements will combine remote and in-person activities and will be scheduled around study commitments.

Duties may include cataloguing, metadata creation, transcription checking, historical research, editing and proofreading, digitisation work, and assistance with project events and outreach activities. Training and support will be provided throughout the project.

We are looking for motivated students with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an interest in historical research. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on research experience, develop transferable professional skills, and to work with an interdisciplinary, cross-border team.

Applications close at 9.00am on Monday 26 October 2026.

Please see the full job description for further details and application instructions: https://www.pmb.ox.ac.uk/sites/default/files/2026-09/writing_peace_ras_jd_0.pdf
