He hates MAGA as much as we do and he speaks from his gut about it. We're so used to mealy-mouthed careerist Dems looking to siphon off mythical purple voters and he is just not that. He thinks our country is in trouble and those people are to blame. And he is right.

Ossoff is acting like Trump/MAGA/GOP and what they’ve done to the country is Actually Bad. Charismatic and well spoken, which sure helps. But no “my friends across the aisle,” no acting like the imaginary “Baileys” are the only ones who matter, no “don’t talk values, only kitchen table.” That’s it.

The voters who intentionally refused to do the right thing really don't want to admit how much permanent damage they did it's literally impossible for Democrats or anyone else to ever undo. Lives that can't be brought back, land that can't be restored, experiments and projects that can't be revived.

I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history. Took 10 years but it won a total & complete victory through murder and atrocity.

He’s losing a war and can’t lie his way out, he’s poised for a midterm rebuke, he can sense his power waning, he’s desperate to feel strong, so he reaches for one he’s always been able to flex, get the right to say particular words—then mainstream media usually follows—but that isn’t working either.

Trump, the GOP, right-wing media, and the Online Right have had remarkable success with vague insinuation and repetition. Their target audience—which includes not only Trump voters, but mainstream media—love running with insinuation, and treating it as on par with, sometimes greater than, facts.

I don’t think the U.S. attacked Iran so that the U.S. Navy could provide constant, costly escort to tankers to get some oil out of the Gulf but much less than before the war. That does not strike me as an achievement, nor sustainable, and I don’t know why it warrants praise.

The spectacular policy failures, domestic and foreign, of the party of Reagan led directly to the post-policy, rageporn, content-trolling and reality-denying party of Trump. Failing to acknowledge this is a non-starter, and stating this simple fact gets you blocked by the Tom Nichols of the world.

More Americans have been killed in the Iran war Trump started than in the Afghan withdrawal Biden was handed and completed. The implications for America’s geopolitical situation is much worse with attacking Iran than leaving Afghanistan. But going by tone of coverage, one would think the opposite.
