Context: I've done a lot of work with AI over the last year (obviously, working in fintech). As well as using apps comparatively new to me (VScode, Xcode), I've still been using Figma and Framer. They're starting to deprioritise the tools at their foundation and focus on generative AI.

The design apps I've been using for years are becoming less useful for designing. They used to be about direct and precise manipulation of their medium. The direct editing tools are now drowning in a sea of prompts, asking me to prompt a roll of the generative dice.
