Reporting to the Director, Communications, the Communications Coordinator will support the day-to-day functions of the corporate communications vertical and provide administrative support to the entire communications department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: compiling and sending daily clips; assisting with the distribution of all media communications; handling credential and parking requests from media; working with seasonal associates on distribution list maintenance and media monitoring reports; assisting with proactive media pitching for business-related stories and events; and other written communications as needed.  The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.  This is a full time position. The Coordinator must be available to work in person in Washington, D.C.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  * Compile daily media clips on weekdays and during weekend homestands.  * Distribute press materials via email, the Nationals website and @NationalsComms X account.  * Seve as the primary contact for media credential and parking requests.  * Manage the department’s administrative tasks, including subscription services, invoices, etc.  * Build, update and maintain press lists.   * Write press materials and media pitches as needed.   * Assemble and format coverage recaps for assigned campaigns and full season.  * Assist with VIP and media escorting as needed.  * Serve as the staff representative on media interviews as requested.  * Maintain department calendar for upcoming announcements, events and other media materials.  * Assist with the recruitment, training and development of seasonal corporate communications associate.  * Assist with events, including media tour, opening day media, DC Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Heroes Day, etc.  * Other duties as assigned.  ExperienceRequired * • Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. The Video Intern will be responsible for maintaining the video library and assisting with special coaching projects as needed. Ensure that logging is consistent across the league and all teams  * Uphold high production value and brand consistency across all content and platforms.  * Service video requests from Brand & Marketing, Partnerships, Ticketing, PR and Communications, Community and Merchandise teams as needed  * Maintain a consistent and current knowledge of the PWHL league, players, storylines, and the overall landscape to assist with identifying and driving storytelling  * Collaborate with other content partners internally and externally as needed  * Perform sound design, color correction, and finishing techniques to ensure polished final deliverables  * Travel to games and league events to capture footage and deliver timely, high-impact content  * Other duties as assigned     QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:  * 5+ years of experience producing and editing video content across social media, broadcast, or other distribution platform in sports or entertainment  * Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere Pro; strong proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop  * Expertise in color correction of LOG footage  * Thorough understanding of and ability to use video production equipment  * Hardworking, collaborative, focused, and creative with a proactive approach  * Receptive to notes and feedback throughout the editing process  * Excellent time management while meeting assigned deadlines    * Must have a strong grasp of the latest video editing techniques and visual trends, and how those apply to social and digital platforms   SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER ATTRIBUTES:   * Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate well with management-level peers as well as employees in other groups across the organization  * Highly motivated to continuously learn and improve  * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail  * Ability to work long, irregular hours and weekends as dictated by event schedules and project timetables   * Ability to occasionally travel for events and projects as needed  * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills    Salary: $70K-80K USD DOE EEOC: The Professional Women’s Hockey League is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
